I Heard  that You are Dissatisfied (e-Sport)
Chapter 4: No More Chicken

Lin Ao felt exhausted today. Either he was fighting against a fake second-generation player or dealing with this imposter issue.

       [lion180: Come on.]

Lan Lian: "..."

Lan Lian never expected that after not logging in with this account for so long, he would somehow stumble upon a deletion war immediately upon coming online. And most importantly, this guy who died ten times and still acted so upbeat had run away offline before.

Hua Zhiheng, who was watching the show with great interest, couldn't resist gloating, "You spent money to invite him to play, but he stood you up. Now, he's coming to you on his own, and the real product was treated as a counterfeit."

Lan Lian checked the account's game history, and the results were impressive: an unbroken row of losses, many of them being 0-9-2 or 0-6-1, incredibly "excellent" records. The most extreme one was 0-17-5. How did he manage that? No wonder Lin Ao considered him a fake.

Hua Zhiheng also saw the records and was dumbfounded, "Oh my goodness, how did you lose like that? Was it you playing?"

"Of course not," Lan Lian said, a little confused. Firstly, he ruled out the possibility of someone hacking his account since they would have changed his password.

Hua Zhiheng laughed, and patted Lu Lian on the shoulder: "Will you accept or not  this account deletion battle?"

Lu Lian pressed the button in doubt, and said calmly: "Go."

He was about to return to Lin Ao, when Lin Ao's message popped out in a hurry.

[lion180: I know you are here!]

Lu Lian: "..."

[lion180: You want my chicken, right? Come on, solo. If you win, I'll give you the chicken. If you lose, you delete your account.]

For some reason, Lin Ao's beautiful and well-behaved face suddenly flashed in Lu Lian's mind. When he was furious, he was not scary, but cute.

He felt that if he answered one second late, Lin Ao might beat him through the computer screen.

       [wizard: ...]

       [wizard: Okay.]

Based on the lively description from the streaming room's enthusiastic viewers, Lu Lian has already figured out who the culprit is for using his account, but now he has more important things to do.

Lin Ao was taken aback by the short and powerful reply. He was a little impressed with the impostor who was arrogant and chatty last time. Why did he become cool today? But Lin Ao didn't think about it, he just sent an invitation to the battle.

The live broadcast room is full of people watching enthusiastically.

[It’s been a lot of hard work, I met two fakes in one day, and I have to fight for love again]

[I'm only on a business trip for a week, has something wonderful happened yet? Who can tell me what was the last account deletion battle? ]

Enthusiastic masses quickly came out.

[Last week, Ao-ao was playing match. He met this guy named wizard, who was the mid-laner on the opposite side. He recognized the word wiz, so he asked him if he was me preemptively registered the name. The other party said that his account is the god of wiz, and it will be replaced if it is fake]

Lu Lian presses the accept button, and both of them enter the pick-and-ban phase.

[Do we really need to play for such high stakes? Oh oh, this is worth hundreds of thousands of chickens. What if...]

[I suddenly feel like this is too extravagant.]

"No 'what if.' Just tell me which hero you want me to use to crush him," Lin Ao casually asks.

"True fans" chose assassins or mages, while fans who just want to see Lin Ao lose suggest support heroes that have little attacking abilities and primarily focus on healing and shielding.

"Do you really think I can't defeat this fake with a support hero?" Lin Ao retorts.

[Waiting for you to play Haomama [a hero's nickname] to crush him.]

[Waiting for me to play Mermaid [another hero's nickname] to crush him.]

Haomama is from the Chinese "music, chess, calligraphy, and painting" theme, and because she's a female hero who can heal, players call her Haomama. Two of her four skills are for healing, while the other two are for attacking. Mermaid is even more special; three of her four skills are for supporting teammates, and only one skill can deal some damage.

In short, if these two heroes were to go solo on the battlefield, they could hardly kill anyone and would only torture their opponents and themselves.

"I can see through all of you. Each one of you has such soft hearts," Lin Ao is already used to his fans giving him such terrible ideas. He selects Haomama, but doesn't press the confirm button.

[6666, it's been a while since I've seen someone play Haomama solo.]

[Waiting for the streamer to give away precious chickens.]

Indeed, Haomama has been used by players in the past to play mid or top lane, and her laning abilities are not weak, but if it's about getting kills, using Haomama is unwise.

"I'm not listening to any of you. Listen, I'll play what I want, and you watch," Lin Ao, though reckless, isn't stupid. So he moves the mouse and quickly selects Bai Wuchang [another hero].

[You unfilial child! Are you trying to betray your father!]

[Thank goodness, my silly son didn't really do something foolish.]

[Sister! But Bai Wuchang isn't suitable for solo! He's a team-fight oriented support!]

[Go, Brother Ao, fight hard! I hope you win, after all, people can lose, but the chicken can't drop.]

[Brother, I was wrong. I really shouldn't have urged you to play support. I'm really worried about your hundreds of thousands of chickens.]

Lin Ao's streaming room is always filled with "arrogant and foul-mouthed dads, kind-hearted moms, caring older brothers and sisters, adorable little fanboys, and fangirls."

In Lin Ao's words, his streaming room is like a four-generation family, harmonious and "close-knit."

"Why are you all crying?" Lin Ao says without any psychological burden, "I won't lose anyway."

As soon as he says that, he sees the opponent pick Siren [another hero].

Lin Ao: "..."

[Hahaha, are you too unlucky? what kind of shit luck is this, both of them met Siren heroes]

       [It's the same counter-hero again!]

[Oh no, how can we be facing Siren again? Will Brother Ao really lose all his chickens?]

The speaker is unintentional, but the listener is interested. In the next second, the live broadcast room will be full of [It's over, I'm going to run out of chickens].

The situation is such that no matter how Lin Ao answers, he can't win. He can't say he has chickens, and he can't say he doesn't.

Lin Ao can only ban all those who are making a fuss.

Then, he refocuses his attention on the game.

While Three Witches of Hell are not good against Siren, Bai Wuchang hates facing Siren even more.

Bai Wuchang's role is that of a support and assassin, with a skill that can pull enemies close for a brutal beating. However, Siren's Tide Shield can block the pull, meaning that if Siren times the Tide Shield just right, Lin Ao's Bai Wuchang won't be able to pull Siren.

But countering a hero is one thing; being able to fully exploit the hero's strengths is another.

After entering the game, Lin Ao sees a chat message popping up.

wizard: One game to determine the winner. After fifteen minutes, we'll compare economy and kills. Whoever is higher wins.

lion180 sarcastically responds: So, you're only good at typing.

       wizard: ...

lion180: With your 0-10-0 performance, you still want to take my kills?

       wizard: ...

Lin Ao takes advantage of Bai Wuchang's abilities, last-hitting creeps while harassing Siren.

But whether it's his illusion or not, Siren's positioning seems much better than the previous player's, even better than that of the second-generation streamer.

[This time, Brother Ao is still playing fiercely.]

[Looking forward to our silly son getting first blood.]

After glancing at the experience bar, which is one-third filled, Lin Ao starts feinting movements, trying to get past the creeps. After killing the fifth creep, he reaches level 3, immediately levels up his skills, and extends Bai Wuchang's long sickle, preparing to pull Siren.

It seems like Siren was already prepared; he didn't even activate the Tide Shield and simply dodged away when he noticed Bai Wuchang's disappearance.

       lion180: ?

Lin Ao realizes something is wrong.

wizard: That person last time wasn't me.

       lion180: Oh, a stand-in.

       lion180: Same thing, whatever.

Stand-in Lu Lian: "..." Well, now that he thinks about it, even if he said he was Wiz, Lin Ao wouldn't believe it and might even flash towards him to attack.

Lin Ao realizes that the opposing player seems to be intentionally not engaging with him and only focuses on defense. Moreover, this stand-in is much better at defense than the second-generation streamer. Every time Lin Ao attacks, it feels like hitting cotton, making him frustrated and anxious.

After reaching level 6, Lin Ao finally has his ultimate. He uses Bai Wuchang's E skill, Concealment, to go invisible, then gradually approaches Siren.

Unexpectedly, Siren is not someone to be trifled with; upon sensing Bai Wuchang disappearing for a long time, he places a True Sight Eye, an item that grants vision of invisible units.

Although Siren's placing of the eye was quick, Lin Ao's reaction was even quicker. After noticing Siren raising his hand, Lin Ao immediately realized that Siren was about to place the eye. So he took advantage of Siren's momentary stiffness and immediately threw out the Soul Hook skill.

Successfully hit!

At the same time, Bai Wuchang's invisible state is revealed by the Eye of True Sight, but it's of no use because Lin Ao quickly follows up with the Soul Shackle skill, hitting Siren while he's stunned.

Siren stands dizzily in place, and Lin Ao throws out a series of skills, reducing his HP to just one-fourth, then Bai Wuchang raises his sickle and delivers a fatal blow.

But Siren activates Time Stop, an item that grants immunity to damage for 2.5 seconds, accompanied by a golden glow throughout the body, earning him the nickname "Golden Body."

Bai Wuchang's attack completely misses.

Very frustrated.

lion180: First item, Golden Body? What about the dignity of a mage?

wizard: That's useless, this one works.

After saying that, wizard sends a wry expression of a small animal poking its finger, which appears above the hero's head. It looks quite large and shameless.

       Lin Ao: "..."

[Hahaha, I find this imposter kind of cute.]

[Silly son, don't be so fierce to him!]

Lin Ao also bought a time stagnation when he returned to the city, and then he flashed in front of the siren and pressed the golden body as well.

       [? ? ? ? ]

[what happened? Empty press gold? Has the stupid son been so angry that he is mentally handicapped? Is it easy to cut off the relationship between father and son for ten seconds? ]

Lin Ao also sends a wry expression in return.

[Forget it, forget it, for the sake of the cuteness of the silly son, I forgive you this mentally handicapped operation]

[Qaq, oh my, Brother Ao is so cute. Don't be sad, it's okay; everyone makes mistakes.]

[Here comes Mama with a stick. Who dares to make fun of my baby boy; I'll beat them up.]

The fans in the streaming room all think that Lin Ao made a mistake by accidentally pressing the wrong button, but they all generously forgive him.

Only Lu Lian understands Lin Ao's intentions.

How could that have been an accidental press? It was an absolutely blatant ridicule.

In that moment, Lu Lian suddenly thought of the popular expression pack that's been going around lately.

Could a little kitty have any ill intentions?

But actually, little kitties can be quite mischievous.
